I really like this image that I took of Christine Ohuruogu surrounded by pool photographers after winning silver in the 400m final. Pool photographers get to wear a blue jacket and have the privilege of going on the field of play. There are usually only 6 pool photographers per venue, most of which are agencies such as Getty Images and Reuters.

King Charles is another of my favorite musicians this summer, he doesn’t look like anyone you know or sound like anyone you know.

This was my first time seeing Alabama Shakes live, a mixture of Blues, Rock and Soul music. Lead singer Brittany Howard had the most incredible facial expressions which made my job a lot easier in terms of getting some decent shots. Go check them out.

Last weekend I was taking photographs at Bestival music festival on the Isle of Wight. Here is a picture of Emeli Sande´upon the main stage. One of her first performances since the London 2012 Opening Ceremony.

This is another image from my busy afternoon, I wanted to frame the image so I had the olympic rings along with the London 2012 signage so that it’s a clean background and so people automatically know where the image was taken.

I had a busy schedule the afternoon that I took this image, I had an hour to get into central london for a press conference with Michael Phelps. However I decided to stop off at the Velodrome for about 15 minutes as I knew Laura was a strong medal contendor and I love cycling.

I always envy pictures taken from unique angles (accessible only to agency’s like Getty Images or Associated Press). Photo agencies have large budgets and can often afford expensive underwater camera housing and software to remotely trigger the cameras.
Me on the other hand had no budget for a underwater camera system so was struggling to get a few unique shots. However I got access from the Aquatic Centre photo manager to go under the diving pool and photograph some of the athletes warming up from a viewing window in the side of the pool. This image was taken on the night of the 10m Diving Final.

South African Oscar Pistorius (Blade Runner) was the first double amputee to compete in a Summer Olympics. An inspiration to the many millions of people watching around the world and to myself who was lucky enough to be there and capture history, simply amazing.
